Walmart is one of the best-known retailers not just in the United States but also around the world. As a large retailer, Walmart also offers a wide range of services, including a host of financial services. One of the most popular and better known financial services provided by Walmart is the Walmart credit card.
In this article, we will talk about the credit card login page. So, if you are already a Walmart credit card holder and would like to use the online services available to you, read on for full information on how to use the login page.
8Who would have thought that the small store that opened in 1964 in Rogers, Arkansas would become an international retail powerhouse with its own credit card.
“People have to follow their hearts, and if their hearts lead them to Wal-Mart, so be it”. Maynard James Keenan.
Whatever your opinion of the US retail giant, its popularity and convenience are hard to doubt, and its credit card is proof of this.
What Is A Walmart Credit Card?
Before we go into the ins and outs of the Walmart credit card login page, it may be a good idea to explore what a Walmart credit card is. First of all, we are not talking here about a loyalty card, a rewards card, or anything like that. Walmart issues credit cards to anyone who applies (obviously if the applicant meets the relevant terms and conditions).
If you get a Walmart credit card you will be able to use it pretty much anywhere, and not just at Walmart stores necessarily. There are, however, certain benefits attached to using the card for all your purchases at Walmart stores, Walmart gas, and Walmart.com. These are some of the benefits:
- You can save 3% on your purchases on Walmart.com
- Or 2% on Murphy USA and Walmart gas
- Or 1% at any Walmart store or anywhere else where the credit card is accepted
- You can also manage your credit card online, including making any bill payments, viewing our statement online, and setting up any account alerts you deem necessary.
Walmart offers three credit cards that you can also apply for online on their login page. They are the following:
- Walmart Credit Card / Walmart MasterCard
- Walmart Community Card
- Walmart Business Card.
How Do You Log In to the Walmart Credit Card Login Page?
In this section we will talk about how to login to check your balance, set up alarms, or use any of the other benefits you can enjoy exclusively online.
The only thing that you will really need to enjoy all of this is a computer, a smart phone or any other smart mobile device and an Internet connection.
Once you have those things in pace, all you will need to do is to follow the next simple steps:
- From the computer or mobile device you have chosen to use, launch a web browser. The great news is the Walmart credit card login page is compatible with all the web browsers available.
- Once you have launched the web browser of your choice, type in the following address: https://www2.onlinecreditcenter6.com/consumergen2/login.do?subActionId=1000&clientId=walmart&langId=en&accountType=generic or, just click on it from this article if you would like to login to your credit card right now, that is entirely up to you. Either way, you will need to wait for the login page to fully load before proceeding to the next step.
- Once the login page has loaded it should display many different sections all with the characteristic Walmart brand colors: blue and orange. On the most prominent section of the site, there is the sign it area located to the right hand side of the screen and a list of all the main benefits of using the Walmart credit card to the right of that same area. Finally, the bottom area of the screen is reserved for applying to any of the three different credit cards that Walmart offers.
Now that you have become a little bit more familiar with the login page, you would have noticed that there are several different things that you could do apart from, as we have said, applying to any of the Walmart credit cards.
We will just focus on all things that relate to logging in.
Focus your attention in the sign in section located, as we said, on the left hand side of your screen. You will not notice that, in order to sign in, you will need to have a user ID in order to log in. If you have never logged in before, it is more than likely that you will not have a user ID. Do not worry, though, you will be able to obtain a user ID from this very page.
If you have never logged in to this site before, just head to the “enroll now” link located in the sign in box. You will then be redirected to the account registration site. You will be ask several questions that will follow these sections:
- Select Security.
- Select Image.
The first thing you will be asked to provide in order to begin your registration is your account number, which is the long number located in the front of your Walmart credit card or printed on your statement. Once you have typed in your account number, click on the “next” button and proceed through all the different sections providing the relevant information and clicking on the “next” button until you are done.
Once you have gone through the whole registration process, you will be provided with a user ID. A user ID is the only thing you will really need in order to sign in to the Walmart credit card online service. Just enter your user ID in the relevant field and then click on the “sign in now” button.
If you would like the page to remember your user ID so that you will not need to type it in every time you need to check your balance or pay your bill online, you should check the “remember me” box located next to the “sign in now” button. Before you do that, however, there are a few things you should consider. The first thing that you should consider is whether the computer you are using is also used by other people. As convenient as not having to sign in every time you want to you this online service, staying logged in can be potentially be very dangerous. We do not want to alarm you unnecessarily, just make you aware of some very actual risks.
If you tick the “remember me” check box and then somebody else goes to the Walmart credit card login page, they will be able to have full access to the site the same as you. So, before checking that box consider who else has access to your computer. If you use a public computer to login (that is, a computer at work, at school, at a public library, or somewhere like that), you should never tick the “remember me” box. It is definitely something worth spending a little time thinking about; sometimes convenience can come at too high a price.
There are also three different links located in the sign in here area of the login site, all located directly underneath the “sign in now” box:
- Look up your user ID.
- Where do I enter my password?
- Activate my card?
Let’s explore these three links one by one.
Look Up Your User ID
If you have already registered to this site but, for whatever reason, you have forgotten our user ID, there is no need to worry at all. Thankfully you would be able to look up your user ID by clicking on the “look up your user ID” link.
Clicking on that link will redirect you to a different site. You will be warned that you need to be the primary account holder and have the credit card with you so that you can use this look up service.
As long as you meet those two conditions, looking up your user ID is very easy. Just enter your account number and the last 4 digits of your social security number and then click on the “next button”.
Where Do I Enter My Password?
If you click on this link, you will not be redirected anywhere else. Instead, you will see a pop up window informing you that you will be asked for your password only after you have entered your user ID and identify an image correctly. This is all to ensure that the highest levels of security and online protection are met.
Activate My Card
This link is to be used when you receive a new credit card. If you have previously registered and used this login site, you will be able to activate your new credit card yourself by clicking on this link. You will then be redirected to a different page where you will be able to enter your user ID (or looked it up if you had forgotten it), and activate your new credit card.
As you can see using the Walmart credit card login page could not be easier. If you have any experience using this site and would like to share it with our readers, please do not forget to leave a comment below.
